Lions Of Windsor
In 2019, the Lions of Windsor public art trail was held in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, featuring over 60 individually decorated, life-sized lion sculptures displayed throughout the region from August to October.
The event was a fundraiser, with all the lions being auctioned off at the end of November and 100% of the profits being donated to local charities, including the Thames Hospice and The Lions Club of Windsor, which distributes the funds to local good causes. We were honoured to participate in this project by painting one of the lions, "Albert," sponsored by Cote Brasserie, which became one of the most popular lions and raised the third highest amount of money in the auction. The Lions of Windsor was held in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Queen Victoria's birth and showcased Windsor's rich history as a royal residence.
We were thrilled to be a part of this project and even more delighted to have the opportunity to speak about it on BBC Breakfast radio with Craig Wheatley.
